Full Description

The remains of a possible round barrow of Bronze Age date are visible on an aerial photograph of 1985. The feature is located at circa SS 8537 3695, approximately 150 metres to the east of Hernes Barrow. It is visible when viewed stereoscopically as a very low earthwork, barely differentiated from the surrounding uneven ground surface, and a narrow cropmark of a possible enclosing ring ditch of circa 35 metres diameter. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
