Full Description

A medieval or post-medieval field boundary is visible as a slight earthwork in a field west of South Furzehill, Lynton and Lynmouth. Centred at approximately SS 7245 4482, the boundary runs approximately north to south, and is slightly curved. It is similar in size and form to the extant boundaries in the area, and was probably laid out during the same period. A boundary is depicted here on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, dividing the extant field in two, and was probably removed shortly afterwards to create a single larger field.
