Full Description

A short length of field boundary of probable medieval origins is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark some 200 metres to the west of Troyte's Farm in Tivington, Selworthy parish, centred on circa SS 930451. Visible for roughly 40 metres, the curvilinear cropmark echoes the line of parallel field boundaries to the north and south, supporting an interpretation that it formerly comprised part of a wider strip field system in this area, probably associated with the medieval village of Tivington.
