Summary

Earthwork remains of a circular single ditched enclosure of unknown date visible in low scrub and trees on aerial photographs taken in 1947. The enclosure has a diameter of 45 metres and no indication of an entrance in the encircling ditch.

Full Description

The earthwork remains of a circular single ditched enclosure seen on Monkham Hill in low scrub and trees. The enclosure has a diameter of 45 metres. The site was seen as an earthwork and mapped from aerial photographs. No trace of an entrance or any other associated features could be seen. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
