Full Description

A nearly square structure is shown on the Tithe Map for Winsford at SS 8945 3628 within a small enclosure. It is labelled 302, as is another small enclosure adjoining to the northwest. These are described in the Apportionment as "Larcombe Foot: Cottage and Gardens", owned by Sir Thomas Dyke Acland and occupied by John Fisher. [1] The building is shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. The house is not labelled but the area is labelled "Larcombe Foot". [2] A structure appears to be shown in this location on the 1946-8 aerial photographs, although it may have been roofless by this time. [3] The 2021 MasterMap data shows a trackway running through the area of the building, which has apparently been removed. [4]
