Full Description

A farmstead is shown on the Tithe Map for Carhampton centred at SS 9801 4141. It is labelled 505, described as Broadwood House, Gardens and Barton, owned by John Fownes Luttrell and occupied by William Rice. [1] It is shown in a similar layout on the 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, when it is labelled Broadwood Farm. [2] The core of the historic farmstead appears to have been little altered on the 2020 MasterMap data, although larger modern buildings have been added to the east of the site and an existing building to the south enlarged.
