Full Description

A signpost is situated at a T junction to the south of Yearnor Farm. It has a pyramidal finial inscribed with SCC and two or three fingers, which have not been transcribed. [1] The signpost is visible on Google StreetView. The fingers read as follows: COUNTISBURY 7 / LYNMOUTH 8 1/2 PITT FARM ONLY / (NO THROUGH ROAD) PORLOCK WEIR 1 1/4[?] / VIA WORTHY TOLL ROAD The post reads SOMERSET SHELDON WELLS. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
