Full Description

The northern portion of the eastern boundary to Roosthitchen is a beech-topped earth bank. A machine-cut ditch generally 1m deep (but up to 2.5m deep in places) and up to 1.2m wide at the top runs alongside the bank to the west. The latter has a spoil heap up to 3m wide and 0.5m high on its western side. A peat deposit up to 1m deep is exposed on the edge of the ditch. [1]
