The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts and labels two old gravel pits on Timberscombe Common, at SS 9659 4223 and SS 9669 4218. [1] Only one of the features is depicted on the 2nd Edition map (that shown at SS 9669 4218) and this is not labelled. [2] The features are not depicted on modern MasterMap data. [3]
