MEM24040 - Possible post-medieval quarry southeast of Woolhanger (Monument)

Full Description

The 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map shows two oval earthworks, at SS 7011 4496 and SS 7015 4482. A similary shaped earthwork is depicted a short distance to the northeast and is labelled "Old Quarry" (MDE21819). [1] Both features are depicted on the 2nd Edition map but are again not labelled. [2] The earthworks are not specifically depicted on modern MasterMap data. [3]
