Full Description

A Bailey bridge was erected by the Army in 1952 to replace the Exe Bridge in Winsford, which had beeen destroyed by flooding. This had to be done quickly because the milk supply for the village came at that time from Howtown Farm. [1] Winsford was designated as a conservation area in 2023. The new appraisal was produced as part of the adoption of the conservation area. [2]
