Full Description

The Tithe Map for Winsford depicts a small building to the north of Ash Lane and south of Gay's Cottage, at c. SS 9052 3493. The property is sited within land parcel 625 and described on the accompanying Apportionment as a cottage owned and occupied by John Tapp (who is named Philip Tapp in the document's summary). [1] By the time the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map was surveyed, the building had been demolished. [2] Winsford was designated as a conservation area in 2023. The new appraisal was produced as part of the adoption of the conservation area. [3]
