Full Description

The farmstead was not extant when the Countisbury Tithe Map was surveyed. [1] The buildings first appear on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, where they are labelled "Desolate". They appear to comprise of a farmhouse (possibly with associated farm buildings attached) within a group of small enclosures, a pond to the south and a small building to the east of the pond, which has an Ordnance Survey bench mark labelled on its eastern elevation. [2] The farmstead is similarly depicted on the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map, and the features shown mostly still appear to be extant. [3,4]
