Full Description

A guide post is marked on modern MasterMap data. [1] The signpost was visited twice as part of the Exmoor and West Somerset Signpost Survey Pilot in 2015 and 2016. It has SCC (Somerset County Council) repeated on the four sides of a pyramid finial. The attached fingers read: BISHOPS LYDEARD 6 1/4 TAUNTON 11 B3224 STOGUMBER 2 BICKNOLLER 4 1/2 ELWORTHY 1/2 RALEIGHS CROSS 3 1/2 MINEHEAD 12. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
