Full Description

Field names in the North Molton Tithe Map Apportionment, Mow Barton (field number 1732) and Little House Close (field number 1733) suggest the location of a farmstead. The fields are very close to a Holy Well site, reputed chapel site and hollow way. Mow Barton is shown as a very small rectangular enclosure and no use is registered in the Tithe Apportionment. These fileds lie at the edge of the enclosed land. [1,2]
