Full Description

An earthwork platform and scoop, situated close to the edge of Winsley Wood and abutting a modern track. The features have been interpreted as a possible quarry associated with the construction of the trackway. [1, 2] This site is not visible on the Ordnance Surevy 1st Edition map, suggesting it was disused by the time of the survey. [3]
