A group of quarries are recorded on historic mapping. It is not clear if these are associated with the features recorded by the National Mapping Project under Monument reference MMO2133

Full Description
Three unlabelled earthwork features are depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map at SS 6832 4484, SS 6835 4491 and SS 6851 4492. [1] The features are depicted on the 2nd Edition map and labelled "Old Quarries". [2] Later Ordnance Survey map edition also show the features and label them "old quarries". [3,4]
