Full Description

Masonry underbridge to lower part of incline trackbed. Plain slate stone west-facing entrance portal with slate stone arch and sand stone keystone. Curved wing-walls to north and south. [1] Carries the incline over an occupation road. [2] The Scheduled Monument Condition Assessment of 2009 gave the bridge a survival score of 0. [3] The bridge was surveyed in October 2015 as part of the 2015 Exmoor Scheduled Monument Condition Assessment. It was given a survival score of 0. [4] A management plan for the Scheduled Monument of The Incline and Winding House (NHLE 1021350) managed by ENPA was developed in 2021. [5]
