Please contact us direct if you require data in support of a planning application or other development work, a countryside stewardship application, or a research project. You can use the links above to perform a text search or map search of the Historic Environment Record or learn about more general themes using the Subjects library. Our Resources section provides information on documentation available from the HER and also external links to other websites of interest. Alternatively, if you need further assistance, have any queries about the data we hold or want to provide some information to the HER please use the online form to contact us, or you can telephone our offices on 01398 322273. We also welcome visits to our offices by appointment to view our collection of supporting documents. The information contained in the Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record has been produced from various sources, a substantial part being compiled by both Devon and Somerset County Councils before being transferred to Exmoor National Park Authority in 2009. The Authority acknowledges the work carried out by both County Councils in establishing and maintaining the Historic Environment Records for the National Park.
