Full Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken north of the main Church building in 2009, to monitor the excavation of trenches to contain new cable ducting. During the excavation, quantities of cream and earthernware dating from the 18th or 19th Centuries were recovered, together with bone and glass fragments. These were associated with layers thought to represent cultivation soils, which were particularly pronounced to the north of the Memorial Garden plot. [1]
